I am thinking of entering this...it is a simple topic this week.
------
Well I sent in my picture, and it wasnt as easy as I thought. I had an idea of what I wanted, but had some difficulty pulling it off. I think that I did a fair job in the finished project...I just hope that others like it and understand the pic.

Collections are a Pain!

Fri May 30, 2008, 9:06 AM
I have been fav-ing photos here for a number of years and when the "collections" feature was intruduced I spend considerable hours arranging them the best I could - I loved it. As time went on, I refined the foldering of my favorites and I got to the point to where I was left with collections that were complete and one collection with about a hundred pieces in it that I wanted to unsort completely and start over with them and remove the "folder".

I "assumed" that if I delete the collection that the pics in it would still be in my favorites...that I would simply be removing the coalition of them. WRONG! Apparently removing a collection deletes the pics inside that collection!

That is not in the FAQ, nor makes any sense to me. I dont even remember where these art pieces came from originally and now I am just about ready to cry ... or go get drunk ... or get drunk while crying.

The only thing that I can hope for is that there are still there and just "hidden" from favorites and I can recover them.

UPDATE: The pics are still there, but they are hidden from favorites...What is the point of adding a favorite and then hiding it unless it is in a collection? So now I have to "show everything" and sort them out one at a time and I have MANY MANY pages of favorites to go through.
UGH.
